Information we collect

• Account information: your name or business name, email address, country and city when you register or complete your profile. Sign-in is by email and password or Google sign-in.
• Listing information: the product, category, specification, quantity, unit, optional price, location, contact name, WhatsApp number, email address, description and relevant dates you enter when posting Stock Available or Stock Required.
• Usage information: standard web analytics such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, collected through Google Analytics.
• Document drafts: trade documents you prepare (invoices, packing lists, certificates and similar) are stored in your browser only and are not sent to our servers.

How we use your information

• To operate your account and let you create, edit, renew and delete your own listings.
• To publish approved listings publicly — listings are public and include the contact details you choose to display (WhatsApp and/or email, at least one of which is required).
• To review listings before publication and to notify you of approval, rejection or approaching expiry.
• To improve the platform, keep it secure and respond to enquiries.

Public listings

DocMakTrade listings are public by design. When a listing is approved, its product details, quantity, location, optional stated price and the contact details you entered are visible to anyone with the listing link. Only post contact information you are happy to share publicly.

Expired, deleted or rejected listings are removed from public view, but basic records may be retained for platform integrity and abuse prevention.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and browser storage for sign-in sessions, language and market preferences, and analytics. Details of each are set out in our Cookies Policy.

Sharing of information

• Service providers: hosting, database, authentication, email delivery and analytics providers process data on our behalf to run the platform.
• Public listing content is displayed to all visitors, including contact details you submit with a listing.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

Your account information is kept while your account is active. You can delete your listings at any time from your dashboard; deleting your listings does not delete your account. If you want your account and personal data removed, contact us and we will delete them, subject to legal retention requirements.

Your choices

• Edit your profile and manage your listings in your dashboard at any time.
• Request account deletion or a copy of your data by contacting us.

Security

Access to your account is protected by authentication. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
